Why Replace Windows?
Here are some questions to ask yourself if you are considering replacing the window in your home:

How are the window corners connected?

If the corners are fusion welded together the corners will never leak, which means neither water nor air will penetrate through the frames of the windows. However, if the corners are screwed together, mechanically fastened or chemically welded, then they can start to leak over time. All our windows are completely fusion welded.

Do the windows have an Energy Efficient glass, which will help to reduce the transfer of heat and cold?

Most windows are available with Low-E Glass, some Low-E coatings are hard coats, while some are sputter coated soft coats, and some even contain 2 layers of Low-E coating. The highest performing Low-E windows are coated with up to eight different layers of heat reflective metallic shields.

What does the warranty cover and how long does it last?

Windows offer a wide range of warranties. Some offer the warranty for 5 years, many windows are warranted for 10 years, and others offer a lifetime warranty, maybe pro-rated after a few years. Our windows' warranties are lifetime, non-prorated, transferable warranty. Be sure to ask us about our break or fail warranties, too!

Replacement windows built by today's standards can pay for themselves by the amount of savings in heating and cooling costs of a home. They also offer a homeowner many different options, such as different types of glass, colors of frames, and many different styles of windows.

High Efficiency Windows Increase The Resale Value of Your Home

A 2005 research study conducted by Remodeling Magazine (a Hanley-Wood, LLC trade publication) utilized professional opinions of over 200 real estate agents and determined that new windows will add 125% of their cost to the value of their home.

The benefits start immediately when you replace your windows. From enhancing your home’s interior to adding to its curb appeal, new windows transform a home from ordinary to outstanding. What’s more, they provide one of the best returns on investment of any home improvement project. You should never buy windows that are not backed by a Guarantee on the frame, sash, moving parts and performance of the window.

Often paint, dirt, or weathering can seal a window shut. Make sure your windows open easily from the inside. Windows play a critical role in home safety- they provide one of the fastest, easiest ways out of a burning home. Every family member should know how to operate the windows used for fire emergencies.

Delays in escaping from a fire, cost lives and increase injuries. Remember that security bars, grilles, grates and window guards not only keep intruders out; they can also lock you in. Everyone should always be able to get out through a window without using tools, keys, special knowledge or effort. Another important point to research is the amount of space that you would have to escape through a window. Windows with a block and tackle balance system will give you maximum egress versus constant force and spiral balance systems. You also get more space to escape through a window if the sash (the framed glass panel) can be tilted, removed, or opened quickly

Whether our utility bills are high or not, we ALL are concerned about our family's safety According to the FBI, the majority of home invasions are through your windows and doors.  Gorell windows actually deter crime in 2 ways.  The unique locking mechanism makes it virtually impossible to break through, and unbreakable armor glass prevents intrusions through the windows.  Gorell windows are the ONLY window approved by the National Crime Prevention Council to deter crime.  In fact, Gorell will guarantee intruders will NOT be able to get inside by your windows, or they will pay up to $1000 of your homeowners deductible.  Plus, any damage from attempts to break-in are repaired. FREE.

While security systems are good,  they only let you know when someone has entered. They don't keep intruders out.   Our unique locking mechanisms and our armor glass plus windows do, Guaranteed!
